Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a process that involves products containing one of two tooth bleaches, hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. These bleaches disperse the plaque into smaller pieces, making the color on your teeth brighter.

Here at St. Vincent's Dental, we use a widely popular bleaching process called Zoom. The procedure begins with the dentist covering the lips and gums which leave the teeth exposed. The dentist then applies the Zoom whitening gel (hydrogen peroxide), which works together with the Zoom light, which is an advanced chairside lamp, to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. Zoom accelerates the bleach while allowing the structure of your teeth to remain the same. The complete process takes less than an hour
